Intro to Home Studio Recording is a 1 on 1 lesson designed to demystify the steps and equipment required to make high quality recordings at home. We’ll evaluate the best approach for your musical interests and show you how to use the proper software to achieve your goals.
Topics vary based on participant interest – here are some basics:
- Setting up your studio space
- Setting up your audio interface
- Monitoring through headphones & speakers
- Configuring and playing with a click track/metronome
- Recording multiple takes and layering audio
- Room acoustics
- How to use synthesizers and software instruments
- Audio processors and digital effects
- Audio file formats
- & Much more!
Students will leave with a clear understanding of the home recording process. Knowing how to produce and record music in your home studio will save time and money as you grow through your musical career. Please let us know if you have your own equipment, we encourage bringing any gear you own into the studio so we can show you how to make the most of your configuration. We are Mac & PC friendly and can teach on any of the major DAW software’s including ProTools, Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, Sonar, Reason, & more!
